Dearest Rainy Day Community,
Rainy Day Artistic Collective is excited to announce that our Fall Virtual MainStage production, “Seeking Odysseus,” written and directed by Jack Seamus Conley, is actively holding auditions for all roles!
(The cast size is 8 actors total, 5W/3M but with some gender flexibility in casting, and roles are available for actors of all ages 18+. No other special casting requirements exist for any role - and the script’s role breakdown is available upon request).
This is a brand new show which will be performing for the first time. The entire rehearsal and performance process will be fully digital, so in theory, you could participate from anywhere in the world!
Please note for any who are interested: since this is a first production and there is a little bit of workshopping to do as we prepare for the world premiere of this script, some changes may be made to the script early in the process.
However, we will make sure to make no (or else very minimal and not without discussing with all involved) changes after the first 1-2 weeks of the process. Also, no characters will be cut from, or added to, the show.
Performances will take place over two weekends. The first weekend is October 18th and 19th at 7PM PST, and October 20th at 2pm PST. The second weekend will be October 25th and 26th at 7PM PST, and October 27th at 2pm PST.
A small stipend is available for all who are involved in this production.
In order to audition, please fill out the form linked below. In the form please be sure to include a self tape of you performing a (ideally contemporary) monologue about 1-2 min. long. ALL AUDITION MATERIALS ARE DUE NO LATER THAN 11:59PM PST ON MONDAY AUGUST 26TH, AND ROLE OFFERS WILL BE MADE NO LATER THAN END OF DAY ON WEDNESDAY AUGUST 28TH. Due to various scheduling factors, we do not plan to hold callbacks for this production.
We are also seeking a tech producer (needs to be available tech week and for all 6 performances) and possibly a few other crew members for this production. Please send a separate email to rainydayrevue@gmail.com if you are interested.
