Seeking Equity actors for roles in Theatre Exile's 2024-25 Season.

Season includes "Red" (John Logan, playwright. Rehearsals begin Oct. 2; previews Oct. 24; runs Nov. 1-10, with possible extension through Nov. 17); and "Glitter in the Glass" (R. Eric Thomas, playwright. Rehearsals begin May 7, 2025; previews May 29; runs June 5-22, with possible extension through June 29.)

An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition. Always bring your Equity Membership card to auditions.

Audition preparation instructions: Performers should prepare two contemporary, contrasting monologues. Note that we do not produce musicals at this time and your audition should not consist of a song performance.

“Red” by John Logan
Seeking:
- Mark Rothko (role has been cast): American painter, 50s or older.
- Ken: His new assistant, 20s.

“Glitter in the Glass” by R. Eric Thomas
Seeking:
- Chelle (role has been cast): Black. An artist. Mid-career but running out of steam. The smartest person in the room and hates it.
- Willard (role has been cast) A little younger than Chelle, but maybe feels older. Black. Chelle's brother. A public figure, of a sort. The smartest person in any room Chelle isn’t in. Loves it.
- Thalia (role has been cast): Early 20s. Black. An interior designer-contractor-lotion saleswoman-etc. A local who is from this world but not of it. Doubles as Agent, Harriet, and Ancestor.
