"Million Dollar Quartet"
Seeking:
ELVIS
– 20s; male; singer/guitar player. Elvis in his 20s at the beginning of
his career. Familiar with his music and able to play guitar; sounds and
look somewhat like Elvis without being an “impersonator.” In the
production, Elvis sings: “Memories Are Made Of This,” “That’s All
Right,” “Long Tall Sally,” “Peace In The Valley,” “Party,” and “Hound
Dog.”
JERRY LEE LEWIS – 20s-early 30s; male; singer/pianist; he was
rock ‘n’ roll’s legendary piano prodigy and celebrated “Last Man
Standing.” A superb piano player, able to play like Jerry Lee Lewis;
fun, energetic; comic skills a plus. In the production, Jerry Lee Lewis
sings: “Real Wild Child,” “Great Balls Of Fire,” and “Whole Lotta
Shakin’ Goin’ On.”
CARL PERKINS – mid 20s; male; singer/guitar player
(lead guitar); he was the American pioneer of rockabilly music and best
known for his song “Blue Suede Shoes.” An excellent lead guitarist. In
the production, Carl Perkins sings: “Matchbox,” “Who Do You Love?,” “My
Babe,” and “See You Later, Alligator.”
JOHNNY CASH – late 20s-late
30s; male; singer/guitar player. Johnny Cash at the dawn of his epic
career. Familiar with his music and able to play guitar; tall; sounds
and look somewhat like Johnny without being an “impersonator.” In the
production, Johnny Cash sings: “Folsom Prison Blues,” “Sixteen Tons,” “I
Walk The Line,” and “Riders In The Sky.”

SAM
PHILLIPS (CAST) – mid-30s-40s; “Father of Rock ‘n’ Roll” and founder of
Sun Records who discovered Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis,
Carl Perkins, and many others including Roy Orbison and B.B. King; a
towering and charismatic figure in American music.
DYANNE (CAST)–
20s-early 30s; An excellent singer; she was an aspiring singer and
Elvis’s girlfriend; ahead of her time and assertive, she’s a great
singer with a wide range; sings solos and back-up throughout the show;
sings “Fever” in her alto range and covers the high soprano part of
“Riders In The Sky” (Johnny Cash song). In the production, Dyanne sings
“Fever” and “I Hear You Knockin’.”
"Chicago"
Seeking:
VELMA
KELLY: Female, 20s-30s, any race/ethnicity, (Range: Alto, E3-D5)
Vaudeville performer who is accused of murdering her sister and husband.
Hardened by fame, she cares for no one but herself and her attempt to
get away with murder. An exceptional dancer who sings extremely well.
MATRON
"MAMA" MORTON: Female, 30s-50s, any race/ethnicity, (Range: Alto,
F#3-Bb4) Leader of the prisoners of Cook County Jail. The total essence
of corruption. Accepts bribes for favors from laundry service to making
calls to lawyers. “When you’re good to Mama, Mama’s good to you.”
BILLY
FLYNN: Male, 30s-40s, any race/ethnicity, (Range: Baritone Bb2-G4)
Established lawyer who hasn’t lost a woman’s case yet. Master of media
manipulation who will get a girl off the hook as long as she can fork up
the hefty $5,000 fee.
MARY SUNSHINE: Male in drag (countertenor/male
soprano), 20s-40s, any race/ethnicity, (Range: Soprano, Bb3-Bb5) Sob
sister reporter from the Evening Star. Believes there is a little bit of
good in everyone and will believe anything she is fed that matches her
beliefs.

ROXIE
HART (CAST): Female, 20s-30s, any race/ethnicity, (Range: Mezzo-Soprano,
F3-B4) Reads and keeps up with murder trials in Chicago, and follows
suit by murdering her lover, Fred Casely. She stops at nothing to render
a media storm with one goal: to get away with it.
AMOS HART (CAST):
Male, 30s-40s, any race/ethnicity, (Range: Baritone, C3-F#4) Roxie’s
faithful husband. Lies for her and tries to take the blame until he
realizes that he has been two-timed by Roxie. Still in love with her, or
misguided, he believes anything she says in her pursuit to get out of
jail.
"Mel Brooks’ Young Frankenstein"

surgeon, professor, and grandson of mad scientist Dr. Victor Von

– Female- Frederick’s bubbly, not-so-bright young assistant. Attractive
and a resident of Transylvania. Vocal range: G# below middle C to A
above the treble staff. Yodeling is a plus as is a German accent.
ELIZABETH BENNING (CAST) – Female- Self-loving/self-absorbed, “madcap”, boisterous fiancé of Frederick. Vocal range: F5-F#3.

BLUCHER (CAST)– Female- Intense, stern housekeeper of Frankenstein
estate. Former lover of Victor Frankenstein. Vocal range: C5-E3.
"Escape To Margaritaville"
Seeking:
TULLY-
Male - Smooth-talking, self-deprecating playboy. He's completely
content with the life he's chosen as the singer/bartender at a tropical
resort, until he meets Rachel, a vacationer who upends his heart. Guitar
skills are useful. Vocal Range: B2-C5
MARLEY- Female - No-nonsense and assertive with an island accent. She runs the resort and keeps everyone
in check, but clearly cares about her
employees, her customers, and J.D., an older island denizen. Great
singer. Vocal Range: G#3-G#5
J.D.- Male - A funny, endearing older
man who always has a parrot on his shoulder. He's losing his vision and
his hearing, but won't acknowledge it. A good-natured drunkard, he's
always writing his memoirs on bar napkins and, as it turns out, he's
lived a full life. Vocal Range: G2-D4

RACHEL
(CAST)- Female - Fully committed to her job and helping the world.
Willing to put in as many hours of hard work as it takes and expects
everyone else to do the same. Suspicious of fools and operators, Rachel
is not easily distracted from her life plan. Vocal Range: A3-F#5.
TAMMY
(CAST)- Female - Loyal friend to Rachel. Sees the best in people and
has a zest for life that is often squelched by her fiance, Chad. Her low
self-esteem manifests itself as denial in her own life. Vocal Range:
B3-F5.
BRICK (CAST)- Male - The Island bartender. Has a big heart and
a good friend to Tully. Not the brightest bulb, but sensitive and
thoughtful. Vocal Range: A2-C5.
JAMAL/TED (CAST)- Male - Jamal is a
high-energy busboy at the run-down Caribbean hotel, acting as a key,
comedic right-hand man to hotel owner Marley.
"Ken Ludwig’s Baskerville: A Sherlock Holmes Mystery"

SHERLOCK
HOLMES Male, 30s – 40s, any race/ethnicity. Highly intelligent,
confident, charismatic, quickwitted, obsessive. Thinks very highly of
his close friend Watson. A sophisticated mind who savors adventure and

caretaker of Baskerville Hall), MRS. HUDSON (older, maternal housekeeper
for HOLMES).
"Wakeman"
Synopsis: Wakeman is a new folk-rock
musical which centers around the true story of Sarah Rosetta Wakeman, a
young woman who presented herself as a man and joined the Union Army
during the Civil War. Her adventures are forever captured in a series of
letters written to her family chronicling her daily life as Private
Lyons Wakeman in the 153rd New York infantry. Original songs by
lyricist/composer Jenn Grinels bring to life this tale of identity and
the pursuit of the American Dream.

“KIM’S CONVENIENCE”
SYNOPSIS: An ode to generations of immigrants who have made Canada the country that it is. With new luxury buildings going up around the convenience store and a Walmart preparing to move in, pressure is on to sell the Kim’s family-run Korean variety store. Mr. Kim’s immigrant path towards building a life for his family in Canada is put under strain when a realtor makes a generous offer for the land. Questions of legacy and culture clash with economic concerns in this laugh-worthy, touching play about family and the relationship between one generation and the next.

- Janet (Female presenting – Asian – 30): 2nd generation Korean-Canadian woman. Daughter of Appa and Umma, she is artistic and rebellious while staying committed to family.

“DIFFERENT WORDS FOR HAPPINESS”
SYNOPSIS: A fresh take on what it means to confront one’s past and redefine personal happiness. When a late-night call arrives from an ex, Ava’s world is thrust into emotional turmoil. As Ava attempts to regain control and confront the ghosts of her past, she meets Eleanor, a middle-aged doctor facing a midlife crisis and living a life of unfulfilled dreams. Ava and Eleanor’s lives become inexorably intertwined as they grapple with blame, forgiveness, and what types of happiness they allow themselves to feel.

“THE MIRROR CRACK’D”
SYNOPSIS: In 1960s England, a wind of change is blowing through the land. It has even reached the sleepy village of St Mary Mead. There’s a new housing estate to make the villagers curious and fearful, and now the village has been thrown into a frenzy by the news that a glamorous American film star has bought the Manor House. Miss Jane Marple, confined to a chair after an accident, is wondering if life has passed her by. Then there is a vicious murder, and Miss Marple must unravel a web of lies, tragedy and danger. This adaptation of Agatha Christie’s famous novel brings real emotional depth and psychological
insight to a thrilling story of revenge and dark secrets.

- Marina Gregg (Female presenting – 45-55): A famous American movie star, glamorous yet troubled. She is dealing with personal and emotional struggles.
- Heather Leigh (Female presenting – 40s): An enthusiastic fan of Marina Gregg, she is ful of energy and somewhat oblivious to the impact of her words.
- Ella Zelinsky (Female presenting – 30-50): The efficient personal assistant, sharp and ambitious.
- Lola Brewster (Female presenting – 20s): A young American film actress, with her own dark past.
- Cherry Baker (Female presenting – 20s): Miss Marple’s enthusiastic, well-meaning, absent-minded help.
- Jason Rudd (Male presenting– 50s): Marina’s devoted and protective husband and film director. American.
- Giuseppe Renzo (Male presenting– 50s): Marina’s Italian butler, he is very protective of her and knows all her secrets.
- Chief Inspector Craddock (Male presenting– 35-45): A classic ‘Christie’ police officer, he is slightly inept and misses clues.
“THE MOUNTAINTOP”
SYNOPSIS: An intimate look into the quieter moments of King’s life, The Mountaintop chips away at the myth of the great man to expose his fears about his family, his country and the ever-looming threat of a violent death. Set during the height of America’s Civil Rights Movement, Katori Hall’s sharp and powerful play confronts the legend and his legacy. Are we really free or do we live in a world of false liberation?

- Camae (Female presenting – Black – 25-45): A mysterious and beautiful maid who captures King’s attention. Seemingly having just started working at the Lorraine Hotel, she is flirtatious and opinionated.
- Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (Male presenting – Black – 39): After giving a speech to a group of striking sanitation workers at a church in Memphis, he retires to his hotel room for the night.
“AGNES OF GOD”
SYNOPSIS: Summoned to a convent, Dr. Martha Livingstone, a court-appointed psychiatrist, is charged with assessing the sanity of a novice accused of murdering her newborn. Miriam Ruth, the Mother Superior, determinedly keeps young Agnes from the doctor, further arousing Livingstone’s suspicions. Who killed the infant, and who fathered the tiny victim? Livingstone’s questions force all three women to re-examine the meaning of faith and the power of love, leading to a dramatic, compelling climax.

- Mother Miriam Ruth (Female presenting – 60s): The Reverend Mother of the convent, she is very protective of Agnes. Before becoming a nun, Miriam was unhappily married with two daughters.
- Dr. Martha Livingstone (Female presenting – 40s): An inteligent and determined psychiatrist, she is appointed by a court to evaluate the mental sanity of a novice nun accused of killing her newborn baby. She must determine if the act was intentional murder or a result of insanity.
- Agnes (Female presenting – 20s): A novice nun in her twenties, Agnes claims to have no knowledge of the baby, and then later claims it was a virgin birth, and the baby comes from God. She has an outward innocence and simplicity, but below the surface she is plagued by childhood abuse.
“ROPE”
SYNOPSIS: A murder has been committed, and the two killers host a dinner party in the very room where the victim’s body is hidden. From Shakespeare on the Rocks! We're a non profit all inclusive
community based theater production company located in Rockaway Beach,
Queens and we are announcing auditions for our 2nd ever production!
We're
producing Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing July 16th-19th, 2026 at
the Amphitheater connected to the boardwalk here in Rockaway Beach. It's
outside. Rockaway Beach in high summer. On a stage under an
amphitheater under the stars and the sky. In a New York City Park. We're
like Shakespeare in the Park but at the beach!
We're resisting
the darkness of the world with community theaters and romantic feelings
about life. And we're punk rock in the sense that we wear our hearts on
our sleeves, our objective is emotional honesty, and we don't accept
technical or financial limitations!
We're auditioning for all parts in Much Ado About Nothing
Please submit a video of Shakespeare monologue less than 5 mins
We're going to be doing in person callbacks here in Rockaway Beach Wednesday, April 15th and Saturday, April 18th
There will be some kind of stipend. We're a fundraising machine!
