PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Seeking Equity actors for roles in TheaterWorksUSA (see breakdown).

Season includes: "Clifford the Big Red Dog: The Musical! (developmental mini tour; Matt Hoverman, book; Casey Breves and Sam Tsui, lyrics-music); "Ada Twist, Scientist and Friends" (Opens with a sit-down run at the New Victory Theater on 42nd Street in New York City. This cast will then hit the road to perform a limited touring run. Theater states: "TheaterWorksUSA has led the Theater for Young and Family Audiences movement in New York City and across North America for over half a century. At TWUSA, we believe that access to art-and theater, in particular-is vital for our youth. Since 1961, the 501(c)3 not-for-profit has captured the imaginations of 100 million new and veteran theatergoers with an award-winning repertoire of over 140 original plays and musicals. Acclaimed alumni include Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez (Disney's 'Frozen'), Daphne Rubin-Vega ('Rent'), Jerry Zaks ('The Music Man'), Benj Pasek and Justin Paul ('Dear Evan Hansen'), Miguel Cervantes ('Hamilton'), Kathleen Chalfant ('Angels in America'), and Chuck Cooper (Tony award winning actor, 'The Life')."

Dates & Locations

Rehearsals generally take place over the span of two-three weeks from mid-August to October. For spring shows ("Click Clack Moo" and "Pout-Pout Fish"), rehearsals take place Jan-Feb. Runs 2026-2027 season.

Compensation & Contract

Rate: $607 / week (no duration provided)

Additional: Pays $607/wk. minimum plus health weeks (TWUSA Actor/ASM contract) per Equity Special Agreement contract.

Breakdown

TheaterWorksUSA, America’s largest theatre for young and family audiences, seeks union performers for

the 2026-2027 Season. Most roles require singing in tight harmonies.

Actors are on ACTOR/ASSISTANT STAGE MANAGER contracts. Actor/ASMs will be required, as such, to

lift scenery and sound equipment during daily load-in and load outs. All actors participate in assembling

and disassembling the set at each venue and school at which they perform. The company travels by car

& van across the U.S. to theaters and schools each day. (*Dog Man travels with additional crew.)

ALL ACTORS MUST BE AVAILABLE TO AUDITION, REHEARSE, AND TRAVEL FROM NYC.

No roles will be understudied.

bundle of cheerful confidence, bravery, intelligence and imagination.

CLIFFORD (male-presenting): C3-F4 - energetic baritenor, good rhythm (brief rhythmic spoken sections)

Puppeteer/actor/singer who projects goofy and lovable puppy energy into large and small puppet

versions of everyone’s favorite big red dog.

COMPANY MEMBER #1: Bb3-Eb5 - versatile belter, pop styling. Actor/singer/dancer who plays:

Samantha, Dog Star, TV Announcer, Mrs. Neighbor, and Ship Captain (female-presenting). (THIS ROLE IS

COMPANY MEMBER #2: C3-F#4 - youthful baritenor. Actor/singer/puppeteer who plays: Pablo, Seagull

(puppet), Neighbor, Back Up Pup #1, and Fire Chief (male-presenting).

COMPANY MEMBER #3: Bb3-C5 - versatile character mix-belt. Actor/singer/puppeteer who plays: Bailey

(puppet), Mom, and Mrs. Ellerby (female-presenting).

COMPANY MEMBER #4: D3-G4 (+brief funny falsetto, up to C5) tenor. Actor/singer/puppeteer who
