Seeking Equity stage managers for Two River Theater Company's 2022-23 Season. Season includes: "Wine in the Wilderness" (Alice Childress, writer; Brandon J. Dirden, dir. Rehearsals begin Sept. 20; runs Oct. 15-Nov. 6); "Living & Breathing" (Mando Alvarado, writer; Rebecca MartÃnez, dir. Rehearsals begin Jan. 3, 2023; runs Jan. 28, 2023-Feb. 26, 2023); "Romeo & Juliet" (William Shakespeare, writer; Hansol Jung, modern verse translator. Two River Theater Dates: Rehearsals begin Mar. 7, 2023; runs Apr. 8-30, 2023. Proposed NYC NAATCO Dates: tech begins May 9, 2023; runs May 15, 2023-June 10, 2023); and "Two Sisters & a Piano" (Nilo Cruz, writer. Rehearsals begin May 9, 2023; runs June 3-25, 2023).
Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations
All productions in the Two River 22/23 Season are being rehearsed indoors at Two River Theater studios or TBD NYC rehearsal studios and presented indoors in either the Marion S. Huber or Robert and Joan Rechnitz Theater.

Synopsis: As an uprising rocks his Harlem neighborhood on a hot summer night, artist Bill Jameson is more focused on finishing his latest work: three paintings representing three types of Black womanhood. More than his artistic vision is challenged by the arrival of an unexpected muse, who refuses to be bound by his shallow assumptions of all that Black womanhood can be.
"Living & Breathing"
Synopsis: The impulsive purchase of some provocative art – a living Latino man who is paid to behave as a statue – shatters a multi-ethnic friend group by sparking questions of commodification, stereotypes, and complacency. While the validity of the artist’s vision might be up for debate, one thing is undeniable: the friendship between these three men is much more fragile than they had realized.
"Romeo & Juliet"
This production is produced in partnership with The National Asian American Theatre Company. NAATCO presents American classics with all-Asian American casts. For this production, all characters are intended to be Asian American. The classic tale of star-crossed love is infused with contemporary vitality by playwright Hansol Jung. This new take on Shakespeare’s ode to young love was originally commissioned by the Oregon Shakespeare Festival’s Play On! project. It is produced as part of the NAATCO (National Asian American Theatre Company) National Partnership Project.
