Seeking
actors of all types, ages, and ethnicities for the annual TRU Audition
Event, which will be attended by more than 60 NY area (and beyond)
Equity and non-Equity producing companies, directors, and producers, and
other individuals, including casting directors and agents. Casting will
be for both current virtual productions and presentations as well as
anticipated live productions.
Company states: "Be seen by as many
as 60 theater companies, casting directors and agents in the New York
area in a single audition. $10 discount with Backstage code BS-10 thru
Aug. 28."

Rehearsal and Production Dates & Locations
Event runs remotely (10 a.m.-6 p.m. EST) on the weekend of Sept. 17-18.
Note:
Musical auditions will be Sunday, Sept. 18, non-musical/dramatic on
Saturday Sept.17. Note: This year we cannot accommodate singers on the
non-musical day or non-singers on the musical day due to the technical
requirements of setting up for maximum sound quality on zoom.

priority is given to TRU members and Equity members, and others will be
notified of acceptance after the Sept. 9 deadline.

COVID really stopped the show. We’d like to
help get it started again! Theater Resources Unlimited (TRU) is
presenting our annual TRU NYC Audition Weekend, reconceived virtually
for the sake of safety. It will be attended by more than 50 NY-area
Equity and non-Equity producing companies, directors, and producers, and
other individuals, including casting directors and agents. Over 40 are
already confirmed – see below. The TRU Voices Reading Series will also
be cast at this event. Attendees will be casting for live performance as
well as film and virtual projects. We’re happy to welcome back
