Compensation & Contract

Additional: Pays $2537/wk. Equity Production League Contract. Note: The minimum base weekly salary for the positions being auditioned for is established by a collective bargaining agreement between The Broadway League Inc., on behalf of the above-named producer, and Actors' Equity Association. For Broadway, it is anticipated that the base weekly salary for each of the below-listed roles will range between a minimum of $2,537/wk. (which equals an annualized base salary of $131,924) and a maximum of $3,000/wk. (which equals an annualized base salary of $156,000).

Prepare one of the audition scenes as outlined in the "Material Guide" in the Dropbox: https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fo/jd8onacvb5y513vj0miov/h?rlkey=du30r2z9o3zz5qncbf23k6lar&dl=0. Note: All roles will be understudied. All roles to be read in Standard British Accent or Regional England.

As part of a pilot program created in the new agreement for Production: Broadway and SitDowns, the employer will accept 126 video submissions from Equity members. Members will sign up online for one of the 126 slots. Only members who get one of the 126 slots will receive a confirmation e-mail with the preparation and submission information. After members' submissions have been viewed, the employer will notify each member who viewed their audition.

An Equity Monitor will not be provided. The producer will run all aspects of this audition. Equity’s contracts prohibit discrimination. Understudies: For all roles.

Alexander Litvinenko (Male, all ethnicities, 30s) Lieutenant Colonel of the Anti-Organized Crime unit with the FSB (Federal Security Service.) First class professional, an elite Russian Army officer. Brave, fearless and highly principled.

Professor Perelman (Male, white, 40s+) Renowned Russian Jewish mathematician, a teacher and mentor to Boris Berezovsky through his life. Wise, honest, and content, albeit slightly abrasive intellectual.

Marina Litvinenko/Nina Berezovsky (Female, white, 30s) Marina is a ballroom dancer, teacher and wife to Colonel Litvinenko. Vocal, but loving, a match for the powerful men who surround her. Nina is the wife to Boris Berezovsky.

Assistant/Daniel Kahneman/Captain (Male, all ethnicities, 30s-40s) Assistant to Boris Berezovsky, he’s persistent and understanding of both his duties and his boss. Fast moving, excellent at his job. Kahneman is an Israeli-American scientist and Nobel Prize winner. Captain is a frantic Russian Captain communicating after an explosion hits his team.

Teacher/Newscaster/FSB Boss (Male, white, 40s-50s) TEACHER is Boris’s primary school teacher. FSB Boss is an intimidating Russian Federal Security Service top dog. Newscaster is a newly promoted Russian Newscaster.

Tatiana/Katya (Female, all ethnicities, 20s-Early 30s) Tatiana is the daughter of Russian President Boris Yeltsin. Katya is a flirtatious and sordid “friend” to Boris Berezovsky.

Aleksandr Voloshin/Nurse (Male, all ethnicities, 40s+) Voloshin is assistant to the chief of Russian Presidential administration turned Chief-of-staff under Vladimir Putin. Nurse is a lumpen nurse in a Russian hospital.

Korzhakov/Yeltsin (Male, white, 40s-50s) Korzhakov is the Russian head of Presidential Security Service. He’s intense, foul, and disagreeable. YELTSIN is the resigning President of Russia.

Lawyer/Home Office (Male, all ethnicities, 30s-50s) Lawyer is Boris Berezovsky’s longtime lawyer. Home Office is the British Home Office Spokesman for press. In London.

Anna Berezovsky (Mother)/Newscaster/Secretary (Female, white, 30s-40s) Anna is Boris’s besotted Jewish mother and a nurse. Newscaster is a Russian Newscaster. Secretary is the Presidential Secretary to Vladimir Putin.

These Roles Have Already Been Cast:
Boris Berezovsky (Male, white, Late 40s -50s) Cast. Russian Jewish business oligarch. An energetic, eccentric, and impatient Kingmaker. Simultaneously infuriating and charming, he’s an influential government official and mathematician firing on all cylinders.

Vladimir Putin (Male, white, 40s) Cast. The Deputy Mayor of St. Petersburg turned Prime Minister and subsequently President of Russia. Formerly with intelligence, he’s seemingly tentative, but he’s manipulative and passionate, stone-faced and threatening.

Roman Abramovich (Male, white, mid-late 20s) Cast. The young and gangly Russian oligarch and politician. A modest, but driven and tenacious intellectual, he becomes the governor of Chukotka. Russian and Israeli.
