Hi everyone, Following up on the December AEMI meeting, here are resources that we committed to sharing
- AI resources: You should have received access to a shared Google Drive folder with AI-related contract language and explainers from SAG-AFTRA and WGAE. (Please let us know if you have any AI-related materials that you think may be relevant to other AEMI unions. We would like to keep updating this shared drive.)
- SAG-AFTRA CROWN Act language: The Workplace Harassment/DEI Contract Language shared drive is now updated to include the most recent hair protection/discrimination language negotiated in its TV/Theatrical contract. (Thank you SAG-AFTRA!)
- Recruiting AEMI union members to serve as NEA and NEH grant panelists: We encourage the AEMI unions to promote the opportunity to serve on panels for reviewing NEA and NEH grants. The positions are paid, and we believe having more union creative professionals participating in federal grantmaking decisions is impactful. Here is where folks can apply at the NEA and NEH. NEA AND NEH PANELS—OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE
SDC encourages our Members to apply to serve as a panelist for the National Endowment for the Arts or the National Endowment for the Humanities. Arts Endowment panelists play a central role in reviewing applications for funding; most panelists are arts professionals who are qualified by their activities, training, skills, and/or experience in one or more art forms. NEH peer reviewers include scholars, cultural institution leaders, humanities center staff, and other experts.
