THE SMASHING MACHINE / A24 Feature Film - Open Call for American Female Talent 30s-Early 40s
We are a NYC based casting company https://www.jv8inc.com (we have worked on casting such projects as HBO's Euphoria, HBO's The Sympathizer, and A24's Uncut Gems).
We are currently casting 2 speaking roles for an A24 feature film called THE SMASHING MACHINE starring Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson. Please see the information about the project below. If you feel like you fit the description of any of the following roles, please submit ASAP!

SHOOT DATES: May 24th - August 1st, 2024 *** but each role is only slated to shoot 1 day - see below

Has a crass sense of humor, yet charming and sweet. A very good friend and a great listener. She can be rough / a little wild. Not even thinking for a second about settling down and having a family. Likes to have a good time. SUPPORTING / DAY PLAYER. ROLE SHOOTS IN VANCOUVER. SLATED TO SHOOT 6/27, BUT MAY CHANGE.
ELIZABETH: Female. Caucasian. 30s. Midwestern. Blonde. Attractive. Mark Coleman’s noticeably younger wife. Down to earth. Wears mom jeans and a button up. A playful and sweet mother. Is supportive of her husband’s fighting career, but sometimes fearful of his physical well being. Not interested in fame or the fighting scene. SUPPORTING / DAY PLAYER. ROLE SHOOTS IN VANCOUVER. SLATED TO SHOOT 5/24, BUT MAY CHANGE.

HOW TO CREATE THE INTERVIEW VIDEO:
- Please try to keep the video no longer than 5 minutes long (you will not get disqualified if you go over)
- If you use your phone to record your interview, please make sure to shoot it HORIZONTALLY (not vertically).
- Please make sure to set up the camera so it is facing you (frame from chest up) and speak directly into it to tell your story.

2) PHOTOS:
Please submit 2 current, non-professional photos - 1 full body shot & 1 close up. These can be as simple as phone pictures against a plain wall in a well lit area (by a window with natural light is always best).
If you have issues uploading or accessing the form below, simply email your videos, photos and contact info to castingcall@jv8inc.com. Sometimes videos, if filmed in HD, can be too large in size to upload to this google form. We recommend using Quicktime to compress the video file to something smaller in size. You do this by opening the video in Quicktime and selecting File -> Export As -> 720p or 480p.
