The CROWN Act is expected to come up for another House floor vote

Wed. 3/16: The House just approved the rule that allows for a vote on final passage of the CROWN Act. The vote was 219-207.

The vote on the underlying bill will occur Friday, with debate scheduled for ~9:15 am ET and the actual vote happening at ~10:15 am ET. There will be another #CROWNAct Tweetstorm on Friday from 9:15 - 10:15 am ET in support of the bill.

AEMI unions are encouraged to continue their advocacy for the CROWN Act through the time of the vote, including by participating in Friday's Tweetstorm.

Thanks for your advocacy in support of the CROWN Act this week. We'll keep you updated on Friday's vote.

The CROWN Act is expected to come up for another House floor vote tomorrow, Wed. March 16th.

You'll recall that the bill was brought up for a vote two weeks ago under expedited rules, and while the bill received bipartisan majority support, it did not have the two-thirds support needed for expedited passage. Tomorrow's vote will occur under "regular" rules, and so the bill only needs the usual simple majority support.

We again encourage affiliates to show support for the CROWN Act on social media throughout today and tomorrow morning.
