Seeking video submissions from Equity actors for chorus parts in the work session for "Joy." All stage managerial positions have been filled.

Cowboy Eddie: 47-54
he/him. A bigoted, cunning, and cruel man who attempts to swindle Joy out of her money and take her invention away from her. Eddie is from Texas and has a very thick accent.

he/him. An executive at QVC who gives Joy her big break. While he looks and acts like your typical young-ish whippersnapper businessman, he also has passion and heart that reveal themselves as we get to know him. He believes in Joy and is determined to see her succeed.

Thelma: 40-44
she/her. Rudy’s enigma of a new girlfriend whom he met dancing at the Havana Club. Thelma speaks in a French accent, but we learn partway through the musical that it’s all an act to up her intrigue. Very skilled with comedy. Strong alto (up to an E).

Young Joy: 7-12
9, she/her, covers Christie. The younger, more carefree version of Joy who is always inventing things and coming up with new ideas. She is inquisitive, excitable, and clever.

Ensemble: Chorus / Ensemble, All Genders, 18+
Long Islanders, businessmen, secretaries, Texan cowboys, and more. Exceptionally skilled vocalists. Some ensemble members will be strong dancers. The remainder/majority of the ensemble does not need dance experience but should be ‘strong movers.’ Note: Every ensemble member will have at least one feature and almost every ensemble member will need to cover a principal.
