AEMI - Activities of the arts, entertainment, and media unions this month:
Successfully achieved an update to the NEA/NEH prevailing wage fact sheet. This was a collective AEMI effort that took many months and included meetings with the White House Task Force on Worker Organizing and Empowerment, the NEA, and the NEH.
Convened the broadcast unions (AFM, IBEW, IATSE, DGA, SAG-AFTRA, and WGAE) on August 11 to discuss ongoing initiatives and collaboration.
Contributed to public comments filed August 10 by the Labor Advisory Committee to USTR on advancing inclusive, worker-centered trade policy.
Updated and distributed the employment and unemployment data for the arts, entertainment, and media industry. The update is here.
Communications - Designed a mailer and continued communications support for IAM’s campaign to organize PCAs at Wexner Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio.
