and self-esteem to youth through theatre arts, plays, workshops, camps,
and more) is currently seeking nonunion actors for The Tale of Penny
Piglet, a TYA show that performs in and around the NYC area throughout
the year.
Project Details: The Tale of Penny Piglet is an
engaging TYA show that centers body positivity and diversity, performing
in and around NYC schools and venues. Currently seeking actors to join
the company, playing the show's three roles on a rotating basis
throughout the year. Each role will be double-cast, providing all
company members with the option to accept performance engagements when
offered.

Rate: $75.00 flat rate (estimated duration: not provided)
Additional: Pays $50/rehearsal and $75/performance. Production states: "Think of this like temp work. Company members will be offered performance dates on a rotating basis throughout the year. Showtimes will be during daytime school hours."

states: "Please don't spend money on studio space for your self-tape!
We understand that folks are using whatever space they have available,
and do not mind if we see your kitchen sink in the background! All that
matters is that we can see and hear you clearly.
Please do use
the camera lens as your scene partner, playing directly to the camera.
Slate your name and location, tell us a little bit about why body
positivity and self-esteem stories resonate with you, then perform one
of the three monologues found in the google drive link above. Choose
whichever monologue resonates with you. Please note: You may be offered a
different character than the one you read for.
File Naming: Please include your name in all file names!
