AUDITION DEADLINE

A light hearted game about building international pet cafes, cute animals, relationships, and mysteries. Interactive novel drama style, with episodic content. Currently available on both ios and Android. These new characters will be introduced in upcoming chapters.
World/Game Environment:
Current settings are California (USA), London, and our new Bali location. Tora (M) and Ida Ayu (F) spend the majority of their time in Bali. Both characters have light Indonesian accents, though their spoken lines will be in English.
Looking for Flexible Actors for Long-term Contract:
Recasting of two new voice roles, “Tora” (M) and “Ida Ayu” (F), and will include recording for new episodes, as the plot will move it’s location to Bali. These characters in particular are mostly based in the Bali chapters, which means we'll want their actors periodically over the next year or so. There is the possibility that they make appearances again later in later non-Bali location chapters, particularly Tora.
Payment:
$250 per hour, one hour minimum per session, of remotely directed recording session time (client and/or casting director will be on call with you via skype or zoom). Non-Union project.
Project production timeline:
Game is live and in its second successful year. Project is currently going through a revamp of past episodes, after which we aim to resume releasing content every two weeks, beginning later this year.
Recording Schedule:
“Tora” (M) will be scheduled to record between mid-August thru the end of August.
“Ida Ayu” (F) - will be scheduled to record between late September through early October.
Recording times will be based on what works best for both our voice director and talent’s schedules. Sessions are remotely directed over Skype / Zoom / or similar. For the first session with our team, our Voice Director will be joining you from CST and our London writers team in BST. Afterwards only our Voice Director will be on calls with you, during which ideally recording will take place during morning or afternoon hours in CST timezone. If you are unable to make those time requirements, flexibility in scheduling may be possible.

Both actors are good references, but ideally Tora will have a notch higher energy in his voice, particularly when he’s excited.
Background:
An attractive 30s Indonesian property magnate who is funding a new resort on the island of Bali. The resort was originally established by his grandfather in the 1980s, but it
mysteriously closed a few months later. Since he inherited the property, it’s been his life mission to rebuild the resort into the legacy he wants for himself and his grandfather.
Tora is enthusiastic (sometimes to a fault), bombastic, caught up in reputation and appearances, and obsessed with legacy. He can get pulled into an idea and refuse to let go of it to the point of being a frustration to the people around him, but he is ultimately a good person with good intentions.

Ida Ayu

Occupation: Manager of a local animal rescue organization Accent: Lightly accented Indonesian (lines will be in English).

Background:
Ida Ayu Wayan helps run a local animal rescue organization on the island and is the spokeswoman for a local activist group on Nusa Penida who oppose the hotel being reopened.
Ida Ayu is serious, honorable, strong, stubborn, and regal. She can come across as very intimidating. She believes in her cause with great conviction, but she is humble enough
to accept that sometimes she might be wrong.

I don’t care what he claims he’ll do. We won’t support the new resort.

We’ve finished grooming the last of these dogs! Don’t they look respectable now?

Look at all the garbage that’s washed up! If the resort is opened, it’ll be a disaster for the local wildlife!

Multiple takes are welcome. No more than two (2) takes. Include all of your

1. If submitting multiple takes (max 2), please read all of the lines in your first voice, followed by another pass of all the lines in your second voice. Again, both takes will be in the same audio file.
What timezone and country are you located in/you will be recording from
