Production Description

Richard’s right-hand man. As amoral, ambitious, and violent as Richard is at the beginning of the play. Eventually confronts his role in the atrocities he helped commit.

King Edward IV: Richard’s oldest brother and King at the start of the play. Becomes frail and easily manipulated in his illness. Doubles with: King Henry VII (Earlier, Earl Of Richmond): a capable leader who becomes King by killing Richard at Bosworth Field.

Additional Instructions:

Submit headshot, resume, and link to your audition video consisting of two contrasting Shakespeare monologues in verse (no longer than 4 min total for both pieces) to submissions@sohoshakes.org by June 3. Please edit all scenes + slate together into one clip and upload video to YouTube or Vimeo.

Callbacks will be held by appointment in person at a studio in Manhattan on Thursday, June 16, 10am-6pm. Please include in your submission email if you are out of town and need to request a live Zoom callback for June 16th.

In order to be assigned to this production, you will need to provide verification that you are fully vaccinated for COVID-19, absent an approved accommodation.
