Prepare a contemporary monologue or choose one of the edited monologues from 'Good People' at https://www.dropbox.com/sh/9bnceskb569lspp/AAA1gHfYYGHfJFOGNqNaZp3pa?dl=0 . If choosing a Margaret, Mike, Jean, Dottie or Steve edited monologue side, you can apply the "Southie" dialect. But it is not a requirement for the audition. Casting Note from The Director: At its core, “Good People” addresses the issues of class within a familiar, very American moral theological framework: fate versus free will. Attention to casting through an ethnically conscious lens is vital to creating an honest portrait of the “miserable” poor white working-class Americans encountering the world of the “comfortable” professional class. No roles will be understudied. Callbacks (in person: Friday, June 17 in Jupiter, FL. Auditions/Callbacks in NYC TBD. More info at jupitertheatre.org.
