I'm casting BASHFUL; a dramatic TV pilot created by Langston Brown and Sam Centurion. Storyline: When they are invited to a “networking” party, three friends and fashion students make the leap from part-time sugar babies to full time escorts. The slight-accented, self-righteously indulgent "new" kid on the block. He immigrated to New York from Spain in high school, where he met his best friend and college classmate Lionel. At NYUDA, the premiere fashion school of NYC, he aims to promote his fashion line at any cost. He’s the first to point a finger and the first to be defensive. *This role includes intimacy. Intimacy coordinator will be on set.* 5 and a half total days of shooting. LEAD [LIONEL] 21, Black, Male. The excruciatingly self-aware best friend who will demean himself however necessary if it leads to an open door. He's a bad liar, but a worse mediator between Nacho and Jasmine’s ex-relationship, and current friendship. He’s picky, in his own world, and hides his judgement of others. He prefers to play neutral, but is opinionated underneath the surface. 4 and a half total days of shooting. LEAD [JASMINE] 21, Afro-Latina, Female. Born to rule, forced to intern. She's a straight-A student and has a type-A personality. She's an opportunist, but socially aware enough to know when she's being pushy. Her love life is kept a secret from her ex-boyfriend Nacho and best friend Lionel. 3 and a half total days of shooting. LEAD [DARYLL] 50's-70's, White, Male. Daryll loves what he shouldn't be allowed to have. He has a charm to him that is always completely undone by what he says next. When he works as a modeling agent, he can be excruciatingly blunt, or unusually polite with clear intentions. Marge and Vernon are his foil. 2 total days of shooting. SUPPORTING [MARGE] 40-50, White, Female. The Dean of NYUDA and Queen of the party. A performative teacher with a fake “woke” charm. She enjoys appearing naive to exercise her power on others, and will manipulate anyone to get what she wants. *This role includes intimacy. Intimacy coordinator will be on set.* 3 total days of shooting. SUPPORTING [VERNON] 50-60, White, Male. The Hollywood of fashion and a household name, but also the kingpin of a multitude of morally wrong and illegal parties. Vernon likes to observe everyone from a distance in order to keep himself a mystery and sell his image. 2 days of shooting. SUPPORTING [ARMAUND] Late 30's, White, Male. Voyeuristic and a socialite with a lot of secrets to hide. He’s Nacho’s introduction to the world of sugar-babying, and Daryll’s accomplice and assistant.
