PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Seeking energetic, enthusiastic, and flexible actors and storytellers to participate in 'Acting and Workshops' tours in schools across Italy from January to May 2025. Each tour group will perform in various regions of Italy. Performances consist of material adapted for a particular language level, focusing on a particular theme and grammatical point. This group works exclusively with primary and middle school age groups.

Acting and Workshops repertoire: Three fairytales and six sketches. Each show is followed by a workshop. The actors split the audience into smaller groups and run 30 minute workshops which include games, songs, and activities relating to the didactic element of the show.

Storytelling tour repertoire: five fairytales and workshops. There is just one Storytelling group that will travel across Italy next year. In this tour, classrooms will be transformed into dream spaces, where the children are led interactively through enchanting stories. These again focus on a particular language level, theme, and grammatical point. This group works exclusively with primary school children.

Company states: "EDUCO organizes English language projects for Italian students and teachers on a national level. We have spent the past 18 years training teachers in how to effectively and humanistically use English in their classrooms, as well as teaching English to Italian children all across the country. Our projects include full immersion English summer camps for children, a theatre-in-education tour (TEATRINO), CLIL workshops, and international teachers’ courses.

"TEATRINO is EDUCO’s Theatre in Education programme. It is the largest and most diverse of its kind in Italy. We at Teatrino make it our mission to teach and promote spoken English to children in a fun and interactive way, through various areas of the performing arts, including acting, singing, dancing, music, and also puppetry. Each year, over 100,000 children and teachers participate in our program."
