Casting Equity actors for roles in "Sherwood." There will be no understudies. Note: Actors cast in this production will also be cast in "Hamlet." Production includes: "Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood" (Ken Ludwig, playwright; Laura Kepley, dir.; Paul Dennhardt, fight direction. Rehearsals begin Feb. 11, 2025; runs March 12-May 3) and "Hamlet" (William Shakespeare, playwright; Brian McEleney, dir. Rehearsals begin March 18; run April 16-May 4,).

"SHERWOOD"
Note: Actors cast in this production will also be cast in "HAMLET."
ROBIN
HOOD (Male Identifying, Any Ethnicity, 20s-early 30s). Must have
excellent stage combat skills. Affable, charismatic, humorous,
passionate. On a journey from entitled youth to altruistic man. Falls in
love, loses his innocence, and discovers his calling to service. Will
also play supporting role in HAMLET. Those roles are listed in the
breakdown.
MAID MARIAN (Female Identifying, Any Ethnicity, 20s- Early
30s) Must have strong stage combat skills. Smart, confident, funny,
bold. A fighter for truth and justice. On a journey from innocent,
plucky girl to strong women navigating a man’s world. Other roles as
cast. Will also play supporting role in HAMLET. Those roles are listed

LITTLE JOHN (Male Identifying, Any Ethnicity, Late
20s-30s) Must have excellent stage combat skills. Very tall/large fit
build. Can be a gentle giant or an intimidating fierce foe. Not the
brains of the group, but definitely the heart. Finds his people, falls
in love with Deorwyn, and fights for justice.

DEORWYN (pronounced “Deer-win”) (Female Identifying, Any
Ethnicity, Early-Mid 20s) Must have strong combat skills. Young women
avenging the terrible treatment and eventual murder of her father.
Tough, determined, and brave on the outside - very scared and lonely on
the inside. Finds a new family while united in the fight for justice.

SIR GUY OF GISBOURNE (Male
Identifying, Any Ethnicity, 30s-40s) Must have excellent stage combat
skills. Enforcer for Prince John. Ambitious, conniving, arrogant, cruel,
dangerous, relentless. Has charisma and a wicked charm. On a mission to
destroy Robin Hood, possess Marian, and be the right hand of Prince
John. Other roles as cast. Will also play supporting role in HAMLET.
