CASTING CALL FOR CRUISING TO COZUMEL
Description: Casting for the NY Theater Winter Festival an ensemble comedy with a limited number musical theater style singing scenes. The story is twoc couples’ intent on reignited their marriages embarking on a cruise to a magical Mexican temple. Onboard, they meet a flower child and her dull boyfriend contemplating marriage. The cruise soon transforms to a love boat with more twists than a pretzel factory.
Payment Information: Unpaid. Showcase. Non-union. The festival offers prize money that will be shared if won.
Dates and Location: NJ Actors only as rehearsals will be in Morris or Essex. Online rehearsals on zoom starting weekly in October, live rehearsals after Thanksgiving and December all rehearsals in Northern NJ. Three performances in Manhattan, Dec 19, 21, 22 possibly followed one month later by one or two in NJ.
Audition: Online followed by live audition at a place in Northern NJ TBD
Include a self-tape singing a few bars from any upbeat musical. Think shows like Beetlejuice, Dear Evan Hansen. In your cover letter please state your availability for evenings and weekends for October, November and December up to Dec 22.

Leonard, male, 30-40 An obnoxious tax preparer husband, smokes a soggy big cigar
Vicky female, 18-25 A through back to the 60's, a hippie, flower child
Frankie, male, 18-25 Vicky’s boring New England blueblood fiancé, wears a Yale sweatshirt
Randy, male, 40-65 A quirky cruise director
