Seeking talent interested in using their skills for social justice performances. “Theatre Bloc” is an ongoing street theater performance of a short play that can be adapted for any issue; labor rights, housing rights, gender rights, climate change and so forth. The form of the play stays the same, the lines are changed depending on the issue. The play uses forms based on the work of Antonin Artaud, Vsevolod Meyerhold and techniques developed by The Living Theatre during its 65 year history. Performances will be through the year and you can participate according to your availability.

Actors & Performers

Actor: All Genders, 18+ In "Theatre Bloc" all lines and movements are performed in unison.

There will be two rehearsals at Alchemical Studios, 50 West 17th Street, 12th floor Saturday May 13th 3pm to 5pm and Wednesday May 16th 6pm to 8pm. You can attend either rehearsal. Note this performance will be in Cadman Plaza in Brooklyn Saturday May 20th 11:00am in support of Housing rights. Compensation & Contract Details
