I write to invite your union's members in the DC area to join DPE and the AFL-CIO in support of Writers Guild of America, East (WGAE) at a leafleting action in Washington, DC, this Thursday, May 18th from 5:30 - 7:30 pm at 7th and Pennsylvania NW.
WGAE
members, along with labor movement kin and allies, will be
leafleting Comcast NBCUniversal's lobby event at the U.S. Navy Memorial
in Penn Quarter. The lobby event features a screening of Fast X, and we
want to make sure the event attendees know that Comcast NBCUniversal,
along with the other major studios, refuse to negotiate a fair deal with
WGA members, including the very people who wrote Fast X and the very
successful Fast and Furious movie franchise. (We are not discouraging
anyone from attending the event.)
