Must be okay working around atmospheric smoke. No wool allergies. Interior work. Men must be okay getting a 1960s haircut if needed and being clean shaven on the shoot date. Women's hair requirements are as follows: No fashion colors. No wigs. No weaves. No braids. No undercuts. No ombré or unnatural looking highlights. No roots if hair is colored. Hair must be above the shoulders, it cannot touch the shoulders. If hair touches shoulders, it will need to be cut by our hair dept. Short hair is ok. Any texture is ok. Gray hair on more mature women is great. NO TATTOOS FOR WOMEN! Men cannot have any visible tattoos that won't be covered in a suit.

Member Tom Frescatore of TSquared productions King Lear classes and casting for play

TSquared Productions (I am one of the founding members and Resident Director) is offering an 8 week (3/6-4/24) intensive course on King Lear culminating in a live Zoom reading of the play.

Class meets (virtually) on Saturdays from 10A-12N, taught by an established subject matter expert named Jessica Damrow Sherman.

I know and have worked with Jess and can vouch for her expertise.  This is something from which any classically minded members will benefit.

Suggested donation is $10/class, but that is a suggestion, not a prerequisite for attending.

Blurb:

Brothers, sisters, and an aging Father-King. Fools, bastards and a blinding. All written during an outbreak of London’s dreaded Plague. This eight-week exploration of one of Shakespeare’s darkest and most profound tragedies will include a deep dive into the play’s characters, relationships, imagery, language and themes in an effort to answer the burning question: When madness strikes out on the heath, is it truly possible to return home? Classes will include readings from the play, along with discussion of ancillary essays, productions and other related materials. 

 

This class will culminate in a public (virtual) reading of the full play. In order to be considered for any of the roles, you must attend at least four class sessions. Attendance does NOT, however, guarantee you a role. 

 

There is no charge for these classes, but a $10 donation per class is suggested. A little less or a little more is also appreciated! Donations are split evenly between  TSquared Production Company (to help support its hosting and marketing efforts) and the instructor (to help support her extensive and thorough preparation of class materials.)

Hi Carlo,  I hope all is well with you. If you can share this 

to any actors on your list-serve that would be 

interested in a non-paid student zoom project 

with a talk back that would be great.

I am in the Advancing Directing course and 

we have a directing project where each student will 

direct their own piece live on zoom during class hour 

on March 12. The piece is 2-5 min but all actors must 

stay for the duration of the entire class from 

4:00pm to 6:35pm on the 

day of the presentation as there will be a 

talk back and a possible exercise to 

explore the piece a little deeper. 

There will be rehearsals at least twice a week 

and I am 

scripting the adaptation this week.  

I have attached the piece that I will be 

adapting so you have some context on 

what I am looking for.
