Production Description

Casting Equity actors for "Our Brother's Son." Synopsis: A story primarily centered around three siblings, Leo, David, and Gail. Rather than consult a doctor, Leo takes handfuls of OTC painkillers for his arthritic hip and induces renal failure. A poor candidate for dialysis, he must reach out to his family members for a kidney donation. The required genetic testing uncovers a deeply hidden secret which tears the family to pieces. Despite the seemingly insurmountable and emotionally charged circumstances, LEO ’S urgent medical needs forces everyone to draw their own personal lines between self-preservation and family loyalty.

NEA and NEH chair status

Wednesday Dec. 2 

the Senate HELP Committee advanced by voice vote the nominations of Dr. Maria Rosario Jackson to serve as NEA chair and Shelly Lowe to serve as NEH chair. Both nominations now move to the Senate floor for a final confirmation vote. (The markup initially scheduled for 12/1 was moved to 12/2.)


We'll keep you updated when we learn more about the timing for the floor confirmation votes.

Certain roles will also require strong instrumental abilities. Actors of diverse cultural and racial backgrounds are encouraged to apply. In general, we are not looking for conventional "music-theatre style"/vibrato singers. We are seeking singers capable of pure tones and/or vibrato that feel informed by jazz/rock/gospel.
