Barber Pole Playwright Frank Polizzi Thanks GIAA

GIAA's most recent meeting featured a reading of the new play "By the Light of a Barber Pole" by Frank Polizzi. In an e-mail dated April 27, Frank expressed his appreciation for both the reading and the critique that followed:

"The actors' group did a great job bringing my play to life, especially the two who played the parts of Nick [Lou Nargi] and Connie [Anna Mancini]...the critique that followed was particularly helpful, especially the guy who was an actor and playwright [Jordan Auslander]. As my teacher of drama at the New School, Harold Callen, used to say 'plays are not written but rewritten.'"

Thanks again to everyone who participated.
