GIAA member Katie Ribis managing Lululemon Athletica
For all members' information, I am currently also working as a manager at Lululemon Athletica in Manhasset - the store's clothes are AMAZING for dancers, runners, working out in the gym, etc - they not only look great but feel great - designed expertly for exercise - with health and comfort in mind (members can read the lululemon website). And, the store offers free yoga classes every Sunday morning from 9:30 to 10:30am with various yoga masters. I am almost always there (except when performing) and would be so thrilled to meet other GIAA members!!!

Amazing WW2 story by way of GIAA'ss Lou Nargi
Kathy Hoey ASNAR Assn of Swissair North America Retirees & Employees
Dear Kathy & All at ASNAR:
Several months ago, the Italian Government launched
an investigation to determine how many concentration camps were established by
Mussolini in the Italian territory from 1922 to 1943. Prof. Coniglio was given the task
and in 1999 a book was written revealing that some 5,000 camps were opened imprisoning
over 50,000 men and women all against the Italian dictator Benito Mussolini.
My father and I spent close to 5 years in one particular camp, doing hard labor guarded by
the black shirts. I never talked about this devastating experience, for lack of proof.
Now,how ever, I strongly believe that people should know the facts of history.
Recently the National Italian American Foundation published the profile of my life
that was interned at age 11 to age 16 in one of the many camps.
Open the link and take a look at the article covering the events of one 11 year old Sicilian
that got swept away by the winds of World War II and was reborn....
Regards, Paul Minolfo.
